We are looking for a Senior Network
Engineer to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will
mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our
users. In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and
thorough knowledge of Network Administration and architecture. If you’re also
passionate about security and data protection, we’d like to meet you. Your goal
will be to establish networks that cater to our customer needs.
The
Senior Network Engineer's role is to ensure the availability, reliability, and
stability of the Production Networking and Security Systems providing robust
and solid configuration based on best practices + experience. This includes
maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, including,
Networks Infrastructure, Automation, and data communications.
Key Requirements
●
Design,
develop and test solutions following Standard Design patterns to deliver
Networks and Security Platforms (preferably using Infrastructure as Code
practices)
● Building best-in-class Service
Engineering capabilities for the Traffic & Security Team with practices
like standardized documentation and augmented observability
● Design and deploy functional networks
(LAN, WLAN, WAN) and maintain Systems and tools needed to deliver a high-quality Product
● Configure and install software, servers,
routers, and other network devices
● Monitor network performance and integrity
● Resolve issues tiers of support have
escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
● Automate tasks and monitor their
effectiveness
● Mentor team members on technical issues
● Create, oversee and test security
measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
● Maintain complete technical documentation
● Suggest improvements to network
performance, capacity, and scalability
● Capable of owning the overall health and
engineering quality of the Systems in your area
● Collaborate well and being able to
present ideas/solutions to a distributed, cross-functional Team environment,
interacting with Managers, Developers, QA's, Project managers, Product Owners,
and other Departments when required
● Participate as a member of an Agile Team
for specific and continuous high impact Projects
● Contribute to the resolution of any issues and incidents preparing in advance and providing the correct Troubleshooting and Monitoring tooling for the Team
Required Qualifications
●
Minimum
5+ years of experience as a Core Engineer in a Technical Team
● Great communication skills, both verbal
and written
● Significant experience administering and
supporting Networks Systems (LAN, WAN, SDN)
● Solid understanding of network operating
systems (Cisco IOS, Cisco NX-OS, etc.)
● Sharp troubleshooting skills
● Demonstrable support and administration
experience in Protocols like BGP, OSPF (IGP in general), VXLAN/NV-GRE SDN
integrations, Spine & Leaf deployments, IPv6
● Highly valuable if any experience with
SD-WAN deployments and WAN optimization in general including CDNs, Global
Load-balancing solutions, and Performance-based routing
● Experience with Agile planning,
deployment, integration, test/validation, and configuration
● Experience with network diagnostic,
monitoring, and analysis tools
● Valuable Experience with any
Configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or similar)
● Experience with modern
monitoring/observability Systems like ELK, Prometheus, InfluxDB
● Workflow flexibility and strong teamwork
skills
● Ability to work independently
● A natural aptitude for teaching and learning from others in a collaborative Team environment
Desired Knowledge and Skill

Valuable
if previous experience supporting highly transactional environments
● Highly valuable if any administration
experience with Load-balancing Platforms (like F5)
● Experience with Amazon AWS, GCP, or any
Public/Private Cloud provider
● Familiarity with Terraform, Container
orchestration, CI/CD frameworks
● Familiarity with Virtualization Tools and
techniques (NFV, NSX-T, SDN)
● CCNP/CCIE Certification (or similar) and
interested in some Security Certification
● Understanding modern Web Stack Architectures (including external DNS/CDN)
